Afternotes
Other details: The novel version is different from the drama version in many several ways. Here're a couples of differences I have spotted out:
01. In the novel, Hyun Jin-Heon is 33 years old, which is 3 years older than Kim Sam Soon who is 30 years old, however, in the drama, Sam Soon is 29 years old which is 2 years older than Jin-Heon who is only 27 years old.
02. In the novel, Hee-Jin returned back to Korea with her husband who she married with during her treatment period in USA but in drama, Hee Jin returned back to Korea with hope to return back to Jin-Heon's side and following her side is her doctor, Henry Kim (Daniel Henney)
03. In the novel, she was fired from her job because she put chilli powder in the wedding cake of her ex-boyfriend but in drama, she just intended to do it but didn't and in the end flushed all the chilli powder down the toilet bowl. She lost her job during the christmas eve night when she sneaked out from her work just to track her boyfriend.
04. As per the novel, Sam Soon is not that fat in the start but gained around 12kgs after she is been ditched however in the drama she is already plump in the start.
05. And as mentioned above Sam Soon gained around 12kgs in the novel, however in the drama, she only gained 7kgs.
06. Their first kiss in novel happened when Sam Soon ate the cake till there is left over cream on her mouth and at this moment, Jin-Heon kisses on her lips to remove the cream. This is different from the drama where it's Sam Soon who initiates the kiss when both of them are close in body contact after she accidentally missed the footage.
Conclusion: Other than the above, there are other more small differences especially towards the ending portion. Both the drama and the novel have their own interesting side. However, I personally prefers the drama version as the role of Hyun Jin Heon is younger than Kim Sam Soon by 2-3 years, which makes the whole story more interesting and romantic, as it illustrated a "Elder sister vs brother Love". However, this book is still highly recommeded as well!

omo......thanks for sharing jc_freakz! i never knew all the things u said......the only thing i knew about the novel was that they ended up married.........
so Hee Jin is less irritating in the novel i guess. at least she married someone else and forgot bout Jin Heon. it would've made him suffer less since he expected this when Hee Jin left.
agree with DrunkenNutzzZ.......that'd be a hot kiss...... |

I don't think so. It's only available in Korean and Chinese I think. I wish they'd translate it into English. |
